The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is the company's latest flagship model. It offers some unique features that other cheaper models don't. It has top-notch suction and can mop hard floors with ease. It is equipped with advanced features such as auto-expanding mop heads and self-detangling rollers for brush. The X40 Ultra offers automatic cleaning of its base station and dust collector filter. The mop pads will be automatically drained and cleaned in hot water. After each cleaning session, the soiled water tank will be automatically emptied.
It comes with advanced options for modifying the cleaning schedule, for example, choosing a specific time to start and finish each cycle, or deciding if it should clean carpets prior to mopping. It can be programmed to re-clean areas that are dirty and to increase its suction around cat litter and pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks upon demand, such as cleaning the bathroom sink or kitchen sink. It can be programmed to automatically lift the front side of the brush when it detects wet areas, and clean up debris around corners and baseboards.
The X40 Ultra is easy to set up and operate using an easy-to-use and user-friendly app and a broad range of features. It is quieter than other corded vacuums. It is able to drive close to walls and avoid steps without crashing. It also automatically raises the mop when driving on rugs or short-pile carpets. It had a difficult time when it came across carpets with longer piles, and some long, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and needs only an initial mapping session to learn its way around your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can add or merge rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones if there's something you do not want the robot to get into.
The S1 Pro is a great option for homes with flooring of both types, as it can mop and vacuum. However the fact that it relies on an Eufy-branded cleaning system (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that allow you to build your own solutions. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it an excellent option for homes with floors of both types. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) could make it less versatile than other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning solutions.
